How to create Spiral Curls.

Whether hair is naturally curly, wavy or straight, it is possible to create the perfect spiral curls! we all have different hair, but Today I'm going to give you Tips & Tricks to create Spiral Curls, with a Curling Iron that will work on anyone! Curly hair is the easiest to style into the desired spiral curl, versus straight hair, which let's be honest is pretty complicated. especially if you have hair like me, long and thick that requires a whole bottle of hairspray to keep the spiral in the curl! Spiral Curls are perfect with any look, from casual outings to an elegant-do for formal occasions. There is no need to visit a salon to achieve the look of perfect spiral curls. And I'm here to show you how!

Step One Wash hair and comb through to detangle hair.
A Great Detangler that I personally love, is the Detangle Conditioning Spray, by Brocato. This lightweight detangling and leave-in conditioning spray, can be used on all types of hair. You can use this product to revitalize curls, and tame frizz. This amazing products helps hair get that little bit of extra mousture, shine, and helps detangle hair that needs taming.

Step Two Apply styling gel to damp hair. Begin at the roots and smooth the gel through to the ends of the hair.

If you don't have a favorite styling cream, try the Sculpture Styling Gel, by Tri. This Styling Gel Creates superior shape and form. Whether set, air-dried or sculpted. The Sculpting Styling Gel by Tri Provides body, texture and shine without flaking, dulling or buildup. What more can you ask for in a Gel?

Step Three Dry hair completely with a hairdryer. If your hair is naturally curly, attach a diffuser to your hairdryer.

Step Four Place hair in a ponytail and leave the bottom layer loose and free from the ponytail, to begin making the spiral curls.

TIP: Always start with the bottom layer of your hair, and work your way to the outer layers, for the perfect Spiral Curls.
Step Five Take a piece of free hair, approximately 1 to 2 inches in width, and place the end in the curling iron clamp. Twist the curling iron around hair until the whole strand of hair wraps around the outside barrel of the curling iron. Do not use the clamp on the curling iron.
Step Six Hold the curling iron vertically for approximately 30 seconds. Straight hair or difficult-to-curl hair may require additional time with the curling iron.

TIP: A Trick if you have stubbornly straight hair is while strand is wrapped around iron, put a light spray of hairspray while still on the iron, to help give your curl more structure.

Step Seven Release the hair from around the curling iron and continue to hold the iron vertically. Allow the curl to fall away from the curling iron.

Step Eight Spray curl with Hairspray.
For this look, you want to use a heavy duty hairspray that will allow the spiral to stay in its form throughout the day. A good one to use, if you don't have one already is the HeatSmart Serum Hairspray by Thermafuze. A Brand New product created this year, the HeatSmart Serum Polishing Spray is a low-VOC formula infused with 3 certified organic oils. It helps create a soft, reflective shine for dry, dull hair. Resists humidity to help control frizz and flyaways. Hold is firm, but not unnaturally stiff. Created with UVA/UVB filters helps protect your hair and guard against color fading.

Step Nine Gather the curl together and pin it to your head with a hairpin. Put the hairpin through the center of the curl to avoid crushing it.

Step Ten Repeat the process until all the loose hair is curled and then release more hair from the ponytail. Repeat curling, pinning and coating your hair with hairspray until all of your hair is pinned.
Wait an hour before removing the pins. Allow the curls to bounce free. Do not use a hairbrush or comb on the curls. Arrange them with your fingers. And there you have it, the Perfect Spiral Curls to go with any occasion Day or Night! And you can find the products I listed at Mission Beauty Salon & Spa. Order Online Now, and Shipping it Free!
