Fall SkinCare Tips!

The air is crisp and the shorts are packed away. Autumn is here!

As the weather changes, you might notice changes in your skin too. No worries, though. With a few simple tricks your skin will stay looking and feeling great!

Here are 10 skin care tips for fall to keep you looking beautiful through the fall season.

1. Reassess Your Body Cleanser

In the summer, fruity shower gels are a popular treat, but just be sure that your current favorite isn't going to dry out your skin when the dry cold weather comes in. You'll want to find a shower gel that is soap-free as well as hydrating. In the fall and winter, I like to put away the gels and bring out a creamy body wash.

A great shower gel that not only smells fantastic but keeps your skin hydrated and looking radiant is the Cranberry Naseberry Yougurt Body Wash by Eminence. This Gentle Exfoliating & Nourishing body wash is ideal for keeping your skin hydrated by gently exfoilating the skin with fruit lactic acids. It also nourishes and hydrates the skin by infusing the skin with vitamins and nutrients.

2. Moisturize Every Single Day

I can't stress this enough; if you want to keep dry skin at bay, you must hydrate your skin on a daily basis. The best time to apply your lotion is right after you've dried off after your shower or bath. Seal in the moisture that's already been absorbed into your skin.

Try Hempz Herbal Body Moisturizer. This product is great for locking in moisture and keeping your skin hydrated all day!

3. Analyze Your Skin

When the seasons change, you may notice your skin type changes as well. This is the time where some with oily skin might notice their skin turns a bit normal, or those with normal skin might consider their skin is suddenly dry.

Watch your skin as the weather turns cold to see if you need to change up your skin care products and switch them accordingly. If you aren't sure whether your skin needs a new regime, try talking to a consultant at a cosmetics counter. Many times they can ask you simple questions to see what skin care type you fall in.

4. Don't Forget Sunscreen

Just because your not lying on a beach doesn't mean you can forget the sunscreen for the next 6 months. Sunscreen is a daily essential, so don't set it aside.

Use a moisturizer with SPF 15 at the minimum and reapply with a facial sunscreen throughout the day as needed. One of the best facial sunscreens around is Dermalogica Daily Defense Block SPF 15.

5. Remember Your Feet

Repeat after me, "I will not let my feet go without proper care this fall and winter". Say it, and mean it. Your feet are going to be stuck inside your boots and heals for months to come, and if you continue taking care of them and exfoliating them on a regular basis, you'll have no problem popping back on your sandals when the time comes.

Plus, having nice feet just make you feel good, so grab a foot scrub and keep it in your shower. One of my favorites is Nordic Care's Sea Salt Scrub. This scrub can do wonders for your feet and its enexpensive!
Scrub your feet 1-2 times a week and you'll enjoy soft feet that won't snag your sheets.

6. Invest in a Cuticle Oil

One tell-tale sign of cold weather is dry cuticles. And many times your regular hand cream isn't heavy-duty enough to tackle dry cuticles. By investing in a cuticle oil, you can quickly take care of the cracked skin and avoid that painful condition that's so wide-spread in the cold months.

Simple apply oil onto your cuticles and rub in. Do this a couple times a week for best protection. A great cuticle oil I love is O.P.I Avoplex Cuticle Oil to go.

Holiday Makeup Tips

Holiday parties are just around the corner and to get you looking fab for any holiday/cocktail party coming your way, we have just the makeup tips you'll need!!!
Two of the hottest makeup trends this holiday season are both classic and hot right now: The smokey, shimmery eye paired with light lips or the deep red lips balanced with a light eye. Shimmer is in this year, as it was last year, and it's the perfect festive look for any party!
Lighter shades of softer eye shadows downplay your eyes, since you’ve already highlighted your lips. Choose light to medium shades of blues, greens, and browns, pinks, and violet colors. Don’t draw attention to both your lips and your eyes or it’ll look like overkill holiday make up!

Apply a touch of shimmer to brow bones and inside your eyes for extra pizazz. Add false eyelashes for added pop! Draw attention to your cheeks by using a soft pink or peach blush with a highlight of white, silver, or gold on the very top of the cheekbones. Try Too Faced Glamer Dust for an inexpensive great look. Not too much, but just enough shimmer, will make you look like a million dollars in your holiday make up!

One must have product this season is a primer. Primers are a great tool for both the face and eyes. Primers go on before foundation or eye shadow which helps keep your makeup in place for hours. They also fill in fine lines and skin imperfections so your tinted moisturizer goes on smoothly.
You can also use translucent powders instead. These go on very light and can also fill in lines and diminish age spots and other blemishes. If applied after work, they can also soak up any excess facial oils you’ve accumulated over the day.
Follow these holiday makeup musts and you will look glamourouse for any holiday party you attend!!!
