3 ways to take eyeliner to a whole new level

I feel like there is something you all need to know about me....I'm addicted to eyeliner... like seriously you have no idea. In my makeup bag I'm all about mascara and eyeliner. for me, I like to keep my look simple, with eyeliner and mascara. Sometimes I dabble with Eyeshadow or Foundation but mainly I'm addicted to Black Eyeliner. My current Favorite at Mission beauty Salon & Spa is Stila. Due to my over-powering Love of Stila Eyeliner--the Fashion Guru that I am--I've listed 3 different eyeliner looks that can be created with Stila Products.  These 3 looks will work for anybody because they are completely different from eachother--giving you the choice between a classic, a vintage, and a modern look.

In today's Blog I've included a guide to lining your eyes to perfection from the one and only Sarah Lucero! With over a decade of experience in professional makeup artistry, Sarah Lucero has made a name for herself working in the beauty and fashion industries. Currently serving as Global Director of Education for Stila Cosmetics, Sarah shares her expertise as Spokesperson for the brand. The three looks today were created by this Amazing Woman! I've dedicated today's Blog to her Genius-ness...and am not taking the credit for this advice! All I can say is that I've tried this makeup brand and I LOVE IT!

According to Sarah, Using the right product is important; the liquid liner you have should be a quick-drying and waterproof formula, so smudges are less likely. It should also have a thin tip that tapers slightly at the end, similar to a fine point sharpie marker. The color should be rich, inky, and very intense. If the product comes out looking like watercolor, it's time to go makeup shopping! And lucky for you ladies out there, Mission Beauty Salon & Spa fulfills the need...and lets not fib--the addiction to makeup!

When it comes to applying eyeliner, you have to be fearless. Just GO FOR IT! Don't hesitate or you will for sure make a mistake. Look at magazines and try to re create a beauty look on yourself with the liquid liner.
Pointed q tips are a must! A great trick is to dip a pointed q tip into your eye cream and use that to remove or fix an unwanted smudge. Use the point to sharpen up the corners and create the perfect angle to enhance your eyes. First, trace the upper lashes with an eye pencil or a damp liner brush dipped in shadow, getting as close to the lashes as possible. Once you've got the perfect line, trace over it with a liquid formula. To keep your hand steady, rest your elbow on a table and keep a light grip on the brush.

Bombshell Bardot Beauty: Be Bold.

1. Before you begin, apply a neutral matte eyeshadow over lids, to create a blank canvas. The cat eye is the most essential part of the Bombshell Bardot Look. Apply a thin line of black liquid liner beginning from the inside corner of the eye all along your upper lash line. Make sure you're as close to the lash line as possible. When you reach the outer corner of your eye, bring the eyeliner tip upwards as you extend pass the edge of the eye. Be sure to taper the line at the end, thinning the line out as it reaches its end point. You can go over the line a couple times to thicken or add a stronger angle.
2. Use a pencil to line your lower lids. A pencil is easier to apply when you want to line your lower rims. Draw the liner from the inside corner to the edge of your lower rims at the waterline. Kajal Pencil in Onyx is ideal to line inside the waterline and trace the lower lash line. It adds a sultry "worn in" effect to add to your bombshell beauty look. To make eyes appear larger, try lining inside with a flesh tone pencil like Stila Kajal liner in topaz.
3. Appling several coats of black mascara will help further emphasize your cat eye. Focus layering mascara on the top lash line. If you wear false lashes, apply mascara over your false lashes. I prefer to use Stila Glamoureyes Mascara. It creates the look of false lashes but without the fuss.

Structured Cat Eye: Be Sultry.
To create this look use Black Smudge Pot, Major Major Lash Mascara, #20 brush, Kitten Eye Shadow.
1. Stila smudge pot is ideal for this look because it is a long wearing liner and shadow in one. The formula is gel based which means the texture will glide on effortlessly and allows you to achieve a glamorous, sultry smudged look. All you need is a double sided brush from Stila, like #20, to create this trend look on yourself and your client. For a softer effect try wearing Bronze smudge pot to add drama to your everyday beach bronze look.

On the Edge Cat Eye: Be Artsy.
To create this look use Stay All Day Waterproof Liquid Liner, Forever Your Curl Mascara, Stingray smudge stick, Prime pot taffy.

1. When balanced with an otherwise neutral face, black winged liner looks artsy and edgy. Create a smooth, opaque base on lids with prime pot.

2. First use black pencil to draw the winged shape, so you can easily clean up mistakes and make the line look exactly how you want it to.

3. Then trace over the pencil with your stay all day liquid liner to add a patent leather finish as a liner top coat

4. Layer several coats of black mascara on top and bottom lashes, to complete the look.
