Color Blocking Your Make-up

A really popular trend that tends to pop out in the Spring and Summer months, is Color Blocking. It first made it's appearance on Spring 2011 runways. Color Blocking is strategically placed, contrasting, yet complimentary, bold and bright colors paired together to create a unique look. To fully grasp the full, bold color effect you match choose three different colors to play with. Not sure what colors blend well with eachother? Try using the rule of two-thirds theory. What's the rule of two-thirds theory? According to the theory, start by making a triangle on a color wheel. Then, you can pick the three colors that the points of the triangle touch. Girl on Fire Hunger Games Inspired Look

The Hunger Games, has hit the Fashion World by storm! With the release of the movie, many people have been inspired to recreate hairstyles, clothes, and even make-up to recreate some of the drama the movie and the books inspire. The make-up artists from Mirabella have created this look, called Girl On Fire, it is inspired by a character from Hunger Games. Application Tips:

1. Begin by applying Prime for Face and Eyes to the face, to smooth the skin in preparation for make-up.
2. Apply Skin Tint Creme all over the face using the Foundation Brush. Use downward strokes to apply an even layer onto skin.
3. Apply Conceal to the eyelids, the under-eye area and to any skin imperfections using the Liner/Camouflage Brush.
4. Apply Kristique Eye Colour from the inner corner of the eye to approximately half way on the lower eyelide up to the crease with the Blending Brush. Weekly Skin Maintenance

Lets be honest, not everybody has the time or desire to give your face the dedication it deserves, when applying skin care products. Especially every day! But the stresses we put our skin through daily by applying makeup daily, not cleaning your face, or not protecting your skin from sun rays can start to take its tole on your face. And I don't mean just by more wrinkles, and dry patches on your face; but the overall health of your skin. So if you are to busy or tired to take the time out of your schedule to apply face products daily, you can still find one to two nights a week, where you can use the below skin regime to rejuvenate the health of your skin, by using products available at Mission Beauty Salon & Spa:

Step 1--Cleanse

Select a Cleanser suited to your skin type. Place a small amount of cleanser into your hands and emulsify with lukewarm water. Apply to the face in a circular motion, covering the entire face for 30 seconds. Remove from the skin while gently scrubbing with a damp face cloth or sponge and rinse thoroughly, alternating with warm and cold water. This action will remove dirt, pollution and impurities from the skin's surface and prepare it for the next step. As we start the beginning of spring, and summer is only a few months away a skin problem most of us will face is dry, dehydrated skin. Use a face cloth moistened with lukewarm water to gently scrub off the dried exfoliate  masque using a circular motion while scrubbing. Rinse thoroughly with clear water.
